A reflection on leadership, humility, and the voices we often ignore.
"Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, 'O ants, enter your dwellings lest Sulaiman and his hosts crush you while they perceive not.'"
This short cinematic film tells the story from Surah An-Naml (27:18-19) — when Prophet Sulayman (Solomon) heard the warning of an ant to its colony as his great army approached their valley. Despite his immense power, he stopped to listen to the humblest of creatures.
True leadership is not found in the volume of your voice, but in your ability to hear those who are usually unheard.
Even in the middle of a world-changing march, Sulayman (AS) remained present enough to notice the smallest creature at his feet.
In our rush toward success, we often overlook the "small" voices—the quiet coworker, the child with a question, or the needs of nature. This story reminds us that nothing is truly insignificant in the eyes of a heart that is truly awake.
Today, intentionally stop and listen to someone who is usually quiet or doesn't have a platform.
Recognize one small blessing you usually take for granted as a gift from Allah.
