A reflection on divine protection and the day worldly power failed.
"Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?"
Abrahah, a powerful ruler, marched toward the Ka’bah with a massive army and war elephants to destroy the sacred house. The people of Makkah could not defend it. But as they neared, the elephants refused to move. Suddenly, flocks of birds appeared, carrying stones that brought the entire army to its knees.
This story proves that Allah is the ultimate protector of what is sacred, using even the smallest of creatures to defeat the mightiest.
Worldly resources—elephants, armies, wealth—are nothing when they oppose the Will of the Creator.
We all face overwhelming odds—bullies, systemic challenges, or internal struggles that feel too big to handle. Al-Fil teaches us that when we reach the limit of our own strength, we must rely on the One who controls every flock and every stone.
Identify one problem you've been trying to solve alone. Entrust it to Allah today.
Treat your heart like a sacred space. Do not let "armies" of negativity or doubt enter it.
